How it works
Stop spending hours hunting through raw clips. Cutflash finds the strongest usable moments, builds an editable cut, paces it to music, applies your look, and keeps the original footage untouched.
- Step oneCull footage.
Point it at a folder of raw clips. It reads the whole shoot and surfaces the moments worth editing.
- Step twoBuild the cut.
The strong moments become an editable first cut, paced to your music rather than to a template.
- Step threeRefine it.
Swap shots, retime, grade and brand it on a real timeline. Every change you make is a change it remembers.
- Step fourExport.
Deliver the finished short, or hand the selected moments to your NLE and finish there.
What is doing the work
Four parts, each one earning its place in a real shoot day.
Cuts to the beat
The audio engine paces your cuts and transitions to the beat — rhythmic flow with zero manual timeline nudging.
Cinematic color + brand
Intelligent grading (auto-detects C-Log vs standard) plus automated logo, text and font placement — the tedious final 10%, done.
Learns your style
Every cut you tweak and grade you adjust is remembered. Over time it mirrors your taste — an editor trained to be you. Meanwhile the FlashHive™ learns from every editor, so the baseline keeps rising.
Built with you
Spot a bug or want a feature? A built-in feedback loop ships fixes overnight — days, not annual updates.
Scan once, keep editing
You pay for the scoring pass — then re-drafting, refining, swapping shots and re-exporting all reuse those scores and cost nothing extra.
Runs in the background
Scoring and export run while you do other things — point it at a whole folder of shoots and batch them overnight, with a notification when it's done.
Purpose-built culling for creators
Use Cutflash as a complete auto editor or as a fast first pass before your finishing workflow.
Find the moments worth editing
Scan long clips, surface strong moments, keep questionable footage in Needs Review, and send selected moments into an editable cut or your NLE.
Compare a shoot at photographer speed
Subject focus, blinks, exposure, bursts and duplicates inform a keyboard-first culling pass. Photo culling is currently a limited private preview.
Hours of frames, down to the keepers.
Cutflash reads the whole shoot and sorts it on the things you would check yourself: subject focus, blinks, exposure, bursts and duplicates. You get a ranked set with the near-identical frames collapsed, and the last word on every one of them.
It develops the RAW file. Not the JPEG hiding inside it.
From the first pass to the final export, Cutflash works from sensor data, never the preview tucked inside your RAW.
Most of a RAW file's value is the latitude: the highlight you can pull back, the shadow you can lift. That latitude only exists in the sensor data, so that is what Cutflash decodes. If a RAW cannot be decoded, you get an honest error, never a quiet substitute.
Shooting JPEG, or mixing formats on one card? That works too. Cutflash culls, grades and delivers JPEG, PNG, TIFF, WebP and HEIC alongside your RAW files. It just will not pretend a JPEG holds latitude it never had.
Set the look once. It carries the shoot.
Your grade travels across the whole set, and stays yours — exposure, color, contrast, your own presets. Nothing is applied that you did not turn on. What you see in the edit is what lands in the export.
Your eye, on every frame.
Every pick you overturn and every slider you move teaches Cutflash your taste. The second shoot fits you better than the first.
Full resolution. Full color. Ready to hand over.
Full-size files at their native resolution, exported at full color with no subsampling, plus web-sized versions in the same pass. Filename templates and your logo, applied on the way out.
Nothing you shot is ever changed.
Cutflash never modifies, moves, or renames an original. Every export is a separate copy. Nothing is generated, invented, or faked — the frames you deliver are the frames you shot.
It learns your creative DNA
Cutflash doesn't just automate — it adapts. Every time you tweak a cut or adjust a color grade, your FlashPersona™ remembers. Over time it mimics your exact editing style, so the first draft lands closer and closer to final. The more you use it, the more it edits like you — and the FlashHive™ pools what every editor teaches it, so even day one starts smart.
