Thanks for testing Cutflash early. This page covers the terms for using the beta, written in plain
language on purpose — no legalese, no fine print doing something the words above it don't say. It's short

What the beta is
Cutflash is pre-release — a genuine work in progress. Features change, some things are half-built,
and a screen you used last week might look different this week. We'd rather ship honestly and improve in the
open than pretend it's finished.
Things will occasionally break or behave oddly. That's expected at this stage — tell us when it happens
(the 💬 feedback button goes straight to us) and we'll fix it.
The beta is free to test right now. Using it means you're agreeing to what's on this page.
Your content stays yours
The footage, photos, and edits you make with Cutflash belong to you. We don't claim ownership of anything
you upload, edit, or export.
Your RAW originals are never modified — every look, cut, and export is a separate copy. Nothing we
do ever touches your source files.
Your uploads and projects live in an area tied to your own account; other testers can't see them.
Your privacy
Full detail lives in the Privacy Policy — the short version: your
personal look and your files are yours alone and never shared. Anonymous, aggregated signals about which kinds
of moments editors tend to keep may help improve scoring for everyone — never your footage, your identity, or
your personal style. A small number of named service providers keep Cutflash running; we don't sell your data
to advertisers.
Confidentiality — keep beta details inside the tester community
This is the section worth reading twice. Being a beta tester means you see things before the public does —
features in progress, pricing we're experimenting with, and roadmap ideas that may never ship. That early
look is a privilege we're extending to testers, and keeping it inside the community is what makes it safe for
us to keep sharing it.
What stays inside: anything you see in the beta app, hear in the tester Discord, or read in
beta-only release notes — unreleased features, pricing experiments, the roadmap, and anything explicitly
marked "beta only."
No public posting of screenshots, screen recordings, or write-ups of features that haven't
publicly shipped — not on social media, forums, reviews, or anywhere else public.
Talking about your experience is fine. "I'm testing a new video editor and it's saving me time"
— great, say that anywhere. Showing off an unreleased screen, a price you saw in testing, or an unannounced
roadmap item is the part that has to stay in the tester community.

Account & conduct basics
One account, one person — please don't share logins.
Use the beta for real editing, not to probe its limits or abuse the systems behind it (scoring, storage,
billing-in-testing).
We can pause or close an account that abuses the beta or breaks the confidentiality section above — we'll
always tell you why, and this is a last resort, not a first move.
This can evolve — we'll show you what changed
The beta (and these terms) will change as we learn from testers like you. When something material changes
here, the version number at the top of this page moves and we'll point out what's different — never a silent
rewrite. If a change is significant enough to need your fresh agreement, we'll ask again, plainly.
